theres this empty empty emptiness
where happiness should be
I guess i thought if i tried hard enough
i could make you see
beyond these lines, these bumps, this quirky charm
that i offer a kindredness, a quiet and a calm
and now
in the lonely hours of my self absorption
with nothing left to do
i should be more careful
than to lose myself in you
